ABB

Identity and Access Management systems

Ausgangslage

ABB has initiated an IT transformation project with the goal of designing and implementing an end-to-end, centralized, and sustainable identity and user access management solution. In addition to the mandate to meet security and regulatory requirements, this global solution is intended to integrate upstream systems as well as ICOFR-relevant applications and platforms.

AdEx Partners Scope

AdEx Partners initiated, structured, and later managed the project, while also continuously contributing expertise regarding the IAM processes.

AdEx Partners Value Add

With a problem analysis and the recording of current challenges, AdEx Partners played a decisive role in structuring the IAM topic in order to develop policies and principles based on it. Depending on the situation, different customer-oriented approaches were chosen (POC, pilot implementation). These formed the basis for decision-making and the implementation of further phases. By means of a standardized and industrialized onboarding concept for applications (centralized management of permissions), AdEx Partners was able to support ABB in achieving reliable results in short cycles. Intensive stakeholder management was an important success factor in driving standardization forward and meeting the various expectations placed on the IAM platform.

Stefan Lindner, Global Identity and Access Manager, ABB: „The cooperation with AdEx Partners in the context of our IAM project was very trusting and productive. The team contributed both relevant IAM and project management know-how. This was a key success factor in guiding the IAM solution from the functional design to go-live. Furthermore, they also ensured project success during the initial roll-outs..“
