Looking back and in the current situation, we appreciate it all the more and are overjoyed to have celebrated the annual kick-off 2020 with our entire AdEx team in mid-January. And especially since we had to cancel this year's family event in Croatia due to the occasion.
The motto of this year's kick-off in Hamburg: "Back to the Roots". After all, AdEx Partners was founded in the port city in March 2012. Hamburg has a lot to offer and a huge selection of attractions and locations. The choice for the kick-off was the HafenCity with its Speicherstadt. How fitting, since AdEx Partners and HafenCity have a lot in common: growth, modernity, cosmopolitanism, to name just a few examples.
The kick-off traditionally started with an evening together. And it had a lot to offer: We spent the evening at the Miniatur Wunderland, the world's largest model railroad. What made it special was that we were able to look behind the scenes as a team after closing time. A great experience for all of us.
The following day also took place in the heart of the Speicherstadt. A highlight of the traditional business day was certainly the guest appearance of Chris Surel. Chris is a "Performance Recovery & Sleep Coach" and specializes in helping entrepreneurs, executives, and athletes to a new level of energy, endurance, and success. The core of his talk with us: How do I optimize my sleep behavior. A lecture with effect and quite a few of our colleagues immediately started to put his tips & tricks into practice.
Also, the focus was on business updates and the current business figures of the past financial year. As in previous years, AdEx Partners was able to significantly increase its sales in the past fiscal year and gain many new employees.
Even if the current year is going differently than expected, we are very confident that we will be able to repeat the success in 2020. Modern workplace concepts and virtual collaboration make it possible to continue and make our projects successful even in the current situation.
